My story
I trained the old way.
Two years of full-time training, then into the industry in 2013. Not a quick access course. The traditional route, which means I learned the skin before I learned the treatments.
Over the years I became more and more fascinated by skin. How it works. Why it changes. Why one approach works brilliantly for one person and does very little for another. By 2018 I knew skin was all I wanted to do.
I've built on my VTCT qualifications with advanced anatomy and physiology, professional brand training and a lot of additional treatment education since. I'm still learning. I don't think there should be a point in this industry where you decide you know enough.

How Pearl began
Something of my own.
I started Pearl Skin Studio in 2023, after the birth of my first daughter. It was time to do something for myself and my family's future, after ten years working for other people.
I wanted to specialise in skin, and I wanted control over everything. The treatments, the brands, and what it feels like to walk through the door.
So I didn't rush it. I researched every brand and device before I let it in. If I'm going to put my name behind something and ask you to spend money on it, I need to believe in it. That still decides everything at Pearl.

My approach
I don't follow trends. I follow skin.
There's always a new ingredient or device everyone's talking about. That doesn't mean it belongs at Pearl. If something interests me, I research it. If it adds something real, I'll bring it in. If it's just popular on social media, I won't.
And if you want to know why I'm doing something, ask. I like explaining it. If you'd rather switch off completely, that's fine too.

I take the treatment side seriously. Your skin is being treated by someone who knows what she's doing and wants the best from it. But I don't want you to feel you've walked into a medical clinic, and Pearl isn't just an hour of pampering either.
It's both. You switch off, and the treatment does something real for your skin. The glow afterwards is the bonus.

I won't recommend a treatment because it's the most expensive one on the menu. I won't tell you to replace products that are already working. And I won't promise you perfect skin.
I will listen, look closely at your skin, and give you an honest opinion about the best way forward. Sometimes that's an advanced treatment. Sometimes it's something gentler. Sometimes it's just consistency.
